HVO
Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO), also known as renewable diesel, is an advanced biofuel made by hydrotreating waste and sustainable raw materials. HVO delivers immediate carbon emission savings and can be used as a drop-in alternative to diesel in transport, electricity generation and industrial applications.

HVO is available for delivery to commercial sites in Ireland and at selected forecourts. This waste-derived renewable diesel is approved by a wide range of original engine manufacturers (OEM) to use in modern diesel engines and off-road machinery.
B20
B20 is a higher percentage biofuel blend which consists of up to 20% biodiesel and 80% mineral diesel. B20 provides a balance between costs, cold weather performance, materials compatibility and carbon emission reduction. B20 is utilized worldwide, as a cost-effective way to reduce your emissions.

Inver Xtra
Inver Xtra is a technologically advanced quality additized fuel. We provide petrol and diesel fuel products with the benefit of an additive as our standard fuel across all Inver forecourts.
Inver Xtra fuels provide multiple benefits for the Irish motorist.

Fuel Quality
Our fuels are directly supplied from our jointly owned 82,000m3 state-of-the-art terminal in Foynes.
Inver has developed the Quality Assured fuels programme to give our customers the assurance that fuels supplied by Inver meet National and European fuel standards and have complete traceability from the point of manufacture to our customers.
Fuels carrying the Quality Fuel icon are:
- Tested by a certified laboratory at the refinery of origin prior to loading the oil tanker
- Checked by independent surveyors for quality assurance at the loading refinery and at Inver’s import terminals
- Provided with Certificates of Quality for each individual cargo showing that the fuels meet EU and Irish specification
Quality Assured Fuels
The specifications for road fuels are:
EN 590: Latest issue for diesel
EN 228: Latest issue for petrol
- Tested for quality assurance prior to receipt from the oil tanker at Inver’s import terminals and samples from each individual cargo are retained
- Tested by independent surveyors and laboratories as part of state-sponsored quality assurance scheme
- Delivered via dedicated Inver-controlled road tankers
- The Quality Assured icon is only awarded to customers exclusively supplied by Inver

International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC)
ISCC is a global sustainability certification system, recognised under the European Union’s Renewable Energy (RED II) directive. ISCC certification enables verification of compliance with the legal requirements for sustainability and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions criteria.
ISCC certified Proofs of Sustainability (PoS), issued by Inver, can be used to validate GHG emissions reductions for customers looking to use HVO to lower their carbon emissions across non-transportation applications such as construction, heating systems, farm machinery, generators, marine bunker fuel and data centres.
